Andrew Duffy, MD, is a Board Certified General Surgeon and is fellowship-trained in minimal access surgery. He is the Director of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery for the Yale-New Haven Health System. His goal is to offer the most effective surgery with the least recovery time and post-operative discomfort. Dr. Duffy is dedicated to helping individuals with acute and chronic issues with their stomach, intestines, colon, gallbladder, or other abdominal organs. He specializes in all type of primary and recurrent abdominal wall and hiatal hernias. He has extensive experience at surgically treating colon cancer and diverticulitis using laparoscopic techniques. CRAIG FLOCH, MD FACS

Dr. Craig Floch and his brother, Dr. Neil Floch, started the Bariatric Surgery Program at Norwalk Hospital. He is the founder and senior partner of Fairfield County Bariatrics & Surgical Specialists, P.C. Dr. Floch is board certified and is currently a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Floch graduated from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, New Hampshire. He continued his education at the University of Health Sciences at the Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois. He then moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where he completed his Internship in General Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center. From there, Dr. Floch completed his Residency in General Surgery at Case Western Reserve University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, and in the last year of his program he was the Chief Resident.

In 1994, Dr. Craig Floch turned to the Norwalk area and began his practice in General Surgery. His practice was the first in lower Fairfield County to offer bariatric surgery and he and his partners have performed over 5000 bariatric procedures to date. In addition to St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Dr. Floch also has privileges to perform surgery at Norwalk Hospital and Danbury Hospital.

Dr. Abraham Fridman joined Fairfield County Bariatrics & Surgical Specialists, P.C. in September of 2012. Dr. Fridman specializes in bariatric and general surgery. He also
has been trained in Laparoscopic Foregut and surgery for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease.

Dr. Fridman began his education at Cornell University and completed his medical studies at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship at Northshore/LIJ in New Hyde Park, New York. Dr. Fridman became a resident at SUNY Downstate in the General Surgery Program and finished the residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. During his tenure at Lutheran Medical he was awarded the Sampath Kumar Award, given to the top surgical resident in the program. Dr. Fridman completed his fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Florida in June of 2012.

Dr. Fridman is a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Association and SAGES. He has participated in video presentations for both the ACS and SAGES.
