Dr. Craig Floch and his brother, Dr. Neil Floch, started the Bariatric Surgery Program at Norwalk Hospital. He is the founder and senior partner of Fairfield County Bariatrics & Surgical Specialists, P.C. Dr. Floch is board certified and is currently a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Floch graduated from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, New Hampshire. He continued his education at the University of Health Sciences at the Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois. He then moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where he completed his Internship in General Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center. From there, Dr. Floch completed his Residency in General Surgery at Case Western Reserve University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, and in the last year of his program he was the Chief Resident.
In 1994, Dr. Craig Floch turned to the Norwalk area and began his practice in General Surgery. His practice was the first in lower Fairfield County to offer bariatric surgery and he and his partners have performed over 5000 bariatric procedures to date. In addition to St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Dr. Floch also has privileges to perform surgery at Norwalk Hospital and Danbury Hospital.
