The Bristol Hospital weight loss surgery program is a patient-centered program that was structured in 2009 to help patients reach their weight-loss goals in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. Our program offers a multidisciplinary team approach. Our team consists of: two fellowship-trained bariatric surgeons, registered nurses, registered dietitians, physician assistants, exercise physiologist and allied medical doctors.
Our center has successfully completed more than 1,300 primary and revisional operations since its start using minimally invasive procedures. We introduced the DaVinci Xi robotic platform in 2015 as an added tool for safe and efficient patient care. The addition of robotic surgery provided our patients with improved quality outcomes
such as decreased postoperative pain, wound infections, and a decreased length of stay in the hospital.
The strength of our program is our team. We offer a cohesive program that focuses on the individualized care of each patient. Our standardized perioperative and
postoperative services enhance the recovery pathways which ensure that our patients are receiving excellent outcomes. We provide our patients with all of the tools,
education, resources and support needed for a successful and safe outcome.
Bristol Hospital is a community hospital that provides exceptional patient care to patients. Our program meets high standards for clinical quality and care. Highlights of our program include:
